JAMMU, Jan 31: Akhnoor CC got better of Jammu Sports by nine wickets in the ongoing Veteran T-20 match, being played at Govt Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, here today
Batting first, Jammu Sports scored 155 the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Mukesh Sharma made 55 runs off 47 balls whereas, Umar Mir scored 22 and Jagdev Singh and Davinder contributed 17 runs each. From bowling side, Rajinder and Jagpal shared two wickets each while Shindi and Raj clinched one wicket each.
In reply, Akhnoor CC chased the target by losing only single wicket in 12.5 overs. Jimmy Mani made unbeaten 90 off 40 balls, whereas Deepak Sharma also remained not out at 41 runs. From bowling side, the Umar Mir was the only bowlers who got single wicket and thus lost the match with nine wickets. Jimmy Manni was declared as man of the match for his superb batting.
Councillor Rakesh Malhotra was the chief guest along with Deepesh Singh (Ex-President MC Akhnoor and Councillor Deepak Mani were the guest of honour.
