AJHLA contributes more relief for flood victims

JAMMU, Sept 10: Continuing its goodwill gesture of relief donation for flood victims, All Jammu Hotels & Lodges Association today sent another consignment of relief consisting of two quintals of food grains for the stranded victims who are still waiting for evacuation to safer places.
Inderjeet Khajuria, president AJHLA, while interacting with the members in a meeting, lauded the Herculean efforts of Indian Army Engineers for linking the Kashmir valley with the rest of the country by opening the road from Simla to Srinagar via Leh. He urged the telecom authorities to restore telephone service at the earliest.
Mr Khajuria, while appreciating the relief contribution announced by the Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttarkhand, Madhya Pradesh and other States for the victims in J&K, made a fervant appeal to the traders to contribute generously in this hour of grief.
He also urged the State Government to maintain transparency and accountability in the process of identification of real victims and relief distribution work and suggested cheque payments besides involvement of civil society to ensure relief to right persons and whole distribution operation to be under the keen eye of Central Govt.
Present in the meeting, included Pawan Gupta, Baldev, Sunil Suri, Bikram Singh and ML Sharma.
