JAMMU, Feb 11: Minister of State for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Ajaz Ahmad Khan today called for early settlement of cases relating to land acquisition for raising Government infrastructure.
Chairing a meeting to review the progress of land acquisition cases across the State, the Minister said early settlement of these cases would not only let the process of raising infrastructure go complete but the cost escalation, generally observed in these works, would also be arrested to a great extent.
Minister of State for Technical Education, Vikar Rasool was also present in the meeting.
The meeting was told that Private Negotiation Committee (PNC) has been constituted in case of proposed Government Degree College, Banihal whileas in case Degree College, Gool the revenue papers have been sent for authentication.
The Minister impressed upon the officers to expedite the acquisition process and complete all paper work in a time bound manner.
Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Arun Kumar, Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, B. A. Runiyal, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Pradeep Thakur and other officers were present in the meeting.
Meanwhile, a deputation from Chowadi village led by its Sarpanch called on the Minister and apprised him about their problems. The Minister assured early redressal of their grievances.
Another deputation from Hiranagar also met Ajaz and sought his intervention in mitigating their problems.
