REASI/RAMBAN, Jan 14: Apni Party vice president and former minister, Aijaz Ahmed Khan today demanded restoration of road connectivity in heavy rainfall and snowfall affected areas of Reasi and Ramban districts.
In a statement to the press, Aijaz Khan said that the road connectivity in the upper reaches of Reasi and Ramban needs to be restored as it has been disconnected.
He said that the road connectivity has been disrupted in Gool, Gulabgarh, Thakarakot, Arnas, Khadi, Sumber, Pogal Paristan, Banihal, Mohumangat and other upper reaches. Therefore, the roads in these areas must be restored.
Khan said that the electricity and drinking water supply have also been affected adversely and need immediate attention of the Government.
“The people are suffering badly in these areas and hence, the Govt should look into the issues of the common masses living in these remote areas and accordingly address their issues for early redressal,” he said.
Khan said due to recent rain and snowfall these essential services have been badly hit moreover, road links could not be restored. He sought the intervention of Lt Governor and Divisional Commissioner into the matter.
