JAMMU, Sept 2: Coming heavily on NC-Congress coalition Government in the State, All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) today said the State Government has time and again cheated Other backward Classes (OBCs) of State on pretext or other and deprived them of their due share of 27% reservation.
Addressing a meeting of the Union, general secretary, Prof Kali Dass said the Congress and NC rulers in the State do not give any sense to the constitution and Apex Court’s decisions. There is a muscle force ruling and both NC and Congress are hand in glove with each other, he added.
Earlier after Apex Court’s judgement, the State Government converted the due reservation of the State OBCs into Backward Area Reservation on the name of RBA and ALC to the maximum of 20% and 35 respectively keeping the State OBCs high and dry with only 2%. But these so called secular parties did not satisfied with it and attacked the State OBCs by passing an amendment of 2004 Reservation Act in the State Assembly on August 30, 2014 to accommodate Pahari speaking people, he said terming it a shameless act on the part of Congress and NC to cover the so called Upper Caste people.
Taking a dig on the State Government, Dass said if the reservation on the name of Pahari speaking people is valid, then it should be extended to all viz. Kashmiri, Dogri, Punjabi, Kishtwari, Bhaderwahi speaking people.
He said time has come when the existence of NC and Congress is about to vanish and appealed the State OBCs to remain united for playing a big role in the forthcoming State Assembly elections.
