JAMMU, June 27: Aghore Cricket Club registered a thrilling 1-wicket win over Little Flower Akhnoor, while United Cricket Club (UCC) Blues prevailed over Amateur Cricket Club ‘A’ in the ongoing JKCA Premier championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the supervision of retired Judge, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Saroop Kalsotra at various venues in Jammu province.
At GGM Science College Hostel ground, Aghore County Cricket Club defeated Little Flower Akhnoor by 1 wicket in an exciting contest. Little Flower scored 135 runs in 20 overs, while in reply, Aghore CCC chased the target in 19.1 overs by losing 9 wickets. Vikas of Aghore CC was declared as the man of the match.
In another match at this venue, Akhnoor Warriors trounced Planwala Cricket Club by 2 wickets. Batting first, Planwala CC scored 122 runs in 19.1 overs, while Akhnoor Warriors chased the target in 17. 3 overs by losing 8 wickets. Vinay Singh of Akhnoor Warriors was adjudged as the man of the match.
At Subash Stadium Udhampur, UCC Blues defeated ACC ‘A’ by 5 wickets in an easy contest. ACC Scored 137 runs in 30 overs. Ashank top scored with 51 runs. In reply, UCC Blues chased the target in 24.4 overs by losing 5 wickets. Anshuman Singh was declared man of the match for his brilliant bowling display.
At Sports Stadium Poonch, Poonch XI defeated Peer Panchal Cricket Club by by 7 wickets. Peer Panchal CC scored 139 runs in 23.4 overs, which was chased easily by Poonch XI in 14 overs by losing 3 wickets. Gurvinder Singh of Poonch XI was declared as the man of the match.
At District Police Line ground Rajouri, Asan Cricket Club drubbed Green Sporting Cricket Club by 3 wickets. Batting first, Green Sporting CC scored 239 runs. Mohd Wasid top scored with 93 runs. In reply, Asan Cricket Club, rode on Ifqar Ahmed’s brilliant unbeaten century (121) and chased the target in 28.5 overs by losing 7 wickets. Ifqar was adjudged as the man of the match.
At Boys HSS Banihal, Youth Club Banihal defeated Kings XI Banihal by 8 wickets. Kings XI scored modest total of 98 runs, while Youth Club chased it in 12.2 overs by losing 2 wickets. Ubaid Ahmed of Youth Club was adjudegd as the man of the match.
At Sports Stadium Reasi, NCC defeated SR Cricket Club by 47 runs. Batting first, NCC scored 195 runs in 30 overs. SR Cricket Club in reply managed to score 148 runs in 24.1 overs. Arun of NCC was adjudged as the man of the match.
