JAMMU, April 8: Advocate General (AG), J&K, D C Raina and Law Officers in the both wings of J&K High Court at Jammu and Srinagar contributed Rs 5 lakh to J&K Relief Fund. In a communique, Advocate General said that this is a token of contribution towards the COVID-19 relief work being undertaken by the Government.
In a bid to raise district level funds to fight the Coronavirus pandemic, the Administrator Auqaf and Chairman Shahdra Sharif Shrine Committee, Abdul Qayoon Dar contributed an amount of Rs 11 lakh in Disaster Management Fund of Rajouri district. In addition, his wife Shamim Akhter also donated an amount of 3.5 lakhs out of her personal savings.
The cheques were handed over to Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh in presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Sher Singh, Advocate Tazeem Dar and district officers.
Employees of Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), the apex organization of Public Sector Enterprises in India contributed their one-day salary to the PM CARES Fund, to combat the COVID-19 epidemic.
Baba Bhagwan Dass Ji Maharaj, 23rd Guru and ‘Sanchalak’ of Mahatma Dewan Sahib Ji Maharah Udas Marg Religious and Social Welfare Sanstha, RS Pura, contributed Rs 51000 to PM CARES Fund in the presence of Guru Mata Bimla Bhagat and Management Committee of the Sanstha.
Swami Dinesh Bharti donated Rs one lakh towards PM CARES Fund while Anita Sharma Councillor of Ward number 65 donated Rs 51000, Neelam Kumari Councillor of Ward number 40 donated Rs 11000 and Sudhir Pardhan, proprietor of M/s Pradhan Sweet Shop, New Plot, Jammu donated Rs 21000 in PM CARS Fund. All the cheques were handed over to Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC.
Besides, Ravi Kant Magotra, a resident of 3/167 Shant Nagar (Janipur) contributed Rs 51000 in PM Cares Fund while PK Kaul (social activist), a resident of Doordarshan Lane, Old Janipur, Jammu, donated Rs 21,111 in J&K Relief Fund.
