JAMMU, Feb 13: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma today ordered attachment of an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), two Junior Engineers and called the explanation of Superintending Engineer, PHE Urban Circle, Jammu for laxity.
During the surprise visit to the PHE’s Provincial Procurement Store and Store of City Division -II Jammu here today, the Minister found that store was not properly maintained and things were not in order. In view of poor maintenance of store, Sham Lal ordered attachment of AEE, Indu Bhushan Gupta, Junior Engineer Sanjay Raina of Provincial Procurement Store and JE, Vivek Kohli of City Division-II. The Minister also called the explanation of SE, PHE Urban Circle, Rajneesh Bal. Mr Bal is presently posted as Executive Engineer, PHE Mech South Division Jammu and holding additional charge of SE, PHE Urban Circle, Jammu.
While inspecting the stores, the Minister directed the Chief Engineer PHE for making judicious use of all articles and making procurement of material strictly on merit and requirements. He also asked for strict implementation of advisory already issued by the Administrative Department and ensuring work culture in the department.
