JAMMU, May 1: Congress leader, Vikramaditya Singh has urged upon the Government to take serious note of the situation in Kishtwar which has arisen due to the recent killings of local social leader and his PSO.
In a statement issued here, today Singh said the killings of the RSS leader in Kishtwar is an attempt to create communal disharmony among Hindus and Muslims. The administration has failed to book the killers of the Parihar brothers who were gunned down last November and have still not been brought to justice, he added.
Singh asserted that there are some elements in administration and society who are hell bent to revive the dying terrorism in Kishtwar and they needed to be brought to book. He said that repeated terrorist attacks show that all is not well in the State. The Government should launch a combing operation in the area to flush out terrorists, he added.
“Such type of acts seems to be like part of a bigger plan to incite communal tension,” Singh said and appealed to the Governor, Satya Pal Malik to initiate a time bound probe so that anti-national elements should be booked without wasting any time. He appealed to the people of Kishtwar to maintain peace and harmony at all costs.
