UDHAMPUR, Aug 10: On the directions of Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Simrandeep Singh, the Assistant Director (FCS&CA) Udhampur Mohd Arif Lone assisted by Tehsildar Latti and local Sarpanches distributed on the spot ration cards among the people.
Official sources said that peole from this remote area had taken up the issue with the Commissioner/ Secretary FCS&CA, Simrandeep Singh and DC Udhampur recently with regard to delaying tactics being adopted by the Department for issuance of their ration cards since 2016. They also pleaded that they were facing lot of problems for making Domicile certificates and for admissions of their children in upper classes or category certificates as well without ration cards.
After the directions from the Secretay concerned the AD, Udhampur Arif Lone along with Revenue staff and Sarpanch Latti, Kastuli Lal Gupta, Sarpanch Sira B, Amitabh Sharma and others distributed Ration cards among the people at their door steps. The locals have lauded the efforts of the Administration and said that their long pending issue was resolved.
