JAMMU, Apr 5: Special Olympics Bharat J&K Chapter organized three days District Games for disabled at Youth Hostel Jammu with the sole motive to explore their hidden talent through the medium of sports, here.
The Games were inaugurated by Arun Manhas, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.
About 299 persons with disabilities will participate in 3-days District Games and enjoy the various sports events as Football, Dribbling, Shooting, Throw Ball, Badminton and Softball etc.
Earlier, Ashwani Jojra, President SOB (Special Olympics Bharat) presented welcome address.
The chief guest lauded the role of Special Olympics Bharat for exploring the hidden talent of persons with disabilities who otherwise are unattended and deprived of all amenities and facilities due to ignorance and poverty as well as helplessness.
