KATHUA, Aug 25: The Additional Deputy Commis-sioner, Kathua, Dr Bharat Bhushan today flagged off Kailash Kund Yatra Langer Committees from Kathua’s Shahidi Chowk amidst beating of drums in an atmosphere full of religious fervor and enthusiasm.
The cavalcade of vehicles carrying pilgrims and other logistics will reach Chattri near Chattergala, Sarthal in Bani Sub -division tomorrow evening.
It is pertinent to mention here that every year two Charri Mubaraks go to Kailash Kund Yatra near Bhaderwah in Doda district from Kathua- one from Bani and another from Duggan. The Additional Deputy Commissioner told the gathering that earlier this month, the District Development Commis-sioner, Kathua Ramesh Kumar had reviewed the Yatra arrangements and directed the functionaries of Power Development Department, Public Health Engineering Department ,Rural Development Department, District Police, SDM Bani and PWD to make all possible arrangements in the route of yatra which falls in District Kathua.
The Chief Executive Officer, Lakhanpur Sarthal Development Authority, Sudershan Kumar has been monitoring the yatra arrangements this year as Nodal officer.
Vinay Gupta, president of Jai Jagdamba Langer Committee, Kathua, apprised that they have been organizing free langers every year for the pilgrims of Kailash Kund Yatra at Chattri near Chattergala, Bani for the last four years. The committee members appreciated District Administ-ration Kathua, Kailash Seva Sangh Trust, Bhaderwah and LSDA for facilitating the pilgrimage.
Jatinder Singh, Sunny Gupta, Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Vishal Malagar, Raju, Sonu, T R Gupta, Neeraj Gupta, Ravi Kumar, Bittu Palli, Bodh Raj,Rajnish Anand, Madan Lal and other members of Jai Jagdamba Langer Committee were also present on the occasion.
