JAMMU, May 27: ABVP has demanded that decision to stop B Voc Tourism course in Central University Jammu should be immediately rolled back by the administration keeping in mind the goals of an educational institution and a hub for producing eminent tourism employees in this dynamically changing Jammu & Kashmir.
“ABVP stands against adamant behavior of the CUJ administration, which is totally unacceptable and unjustified,” said Aakriti Sharma, vice-president ABVP CUJ, and hoped that the misunderstanding or a thoughtful conspiracy, whatever it may be, should be taken back and the enrollment may be started to this very course of the Tourism Management with immediate effect.
Aakriti Sharma alleged that future of the students was being spoiled for the selfish means by a few in the CUJ administration who were targeting some teaching staff to settle their personal score.
Anubhav Sharma, second vice president ABVP CUJ, said that on one hand, most popular course B Voc Tourism is being closed for lack of infrastructure, while on the other hand other vocational courses with less importance were being introduced. ” MSc in Biotechnology is also being introduced in CUJ, which requires well established laboratories and equipments,” he said while rejecting the CUJ claim of lack of infrastructure in the university.
