RAMBAN, Mar 7: Batote police arrested an absconding bovine smuggler, who was at large since long.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Batote police station conducted a raid and arrested an absconding bovine smuggler, who was evading his arrest for the past several years.
The accused has been identified as Gul Mohammad, son of Noor Hussain, a resident of Lower Sidhra Jammu.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR number 149/2008 under Section 188 RPC with police station Batote and warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by JMIC Batote.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Batote police station Inspector Mohammad Iqbal made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
