JAMMU, Aug 7: Digiana police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past over eight years.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Digiana Police Post conducted a raid and arrested an absconder, who was at large since 2006.
The accused have been identified as Som Nath, son of Gopal Dass of Rani Talab.
The absconder was wanted in a case registered with Digiana Police Post under FIR number 59/2006 under Section 325 RPC.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team headed by Incharge Police Post Digiana SI Ashok Bazaz made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Police Station Manzoor Ahmed Kohli, SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh and SP South Rahul Malik.
