JAMMU, Jan 19: Akhnoor police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, a police team from Akhnoor Police Station comprising of HC Joginder Singh, HC Mohammad Khan, SgCt Munshi Ram and SgCt Raj Kumar arrested an absconder identified as Joginder Singh, son of Dharam Singh of Maira Jagir, Akhnoor, at present New Delhi.
The accused was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 35/1994 under sections 451 and 323 RPC with Police Station Akhnoor. Arrest warrant under section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Shiv Dev Singh, SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma, SP Rural Jammu Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
