JAMMU, Jan 14: An absconder, who was evading his arrest since long landed into the net of Chatha police.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Chatha Police Post conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large since long.
The accused has been identified as Kulwant Singh, son of Layak Singh alias lucky, a resident of Govindpura.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 149/2007 under Section 457 and 380 RPC with Police Station Satwari. The court of 1st Additional Forest Court Jammu has declared him absconder since May 16, 2016.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Chatha Police Post SI Rohit made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
