JAMMU, Mar 28: Renowned theatre artist from Jammu, Abhishek Bharti has been awarded Shri Nirmal Pandey Ras Rang Samman in the 12th Chalo Theatre, National Theatre Festival for his contributions to the regional theatre of J&K.
The festival was held from March 21 to 27, 2023 in Panipat.
Abhishek Bharti has been actively involved in theatre for over 22 years and has made significant contributions to the art form. He has directed and acted in several critically acclaimed productions and has also trained many young actors.
Abhishek’s work in theatre has been recognized both nationally and internationally. Awarded with prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Ustaad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar in Theatre Direction, Abhishek Bharti has done Ph. D in Theatre from Department of Indian Theatre, Punjab University, Chandigarh.
The Haryana Ras Rang Samman is a prestigious award given to artists who have made significant contributions to theatre in India.
Bharti was selected for this prestigious award by a panel of eminent theatre personalities.
