Abdul Rashid Dar Appointed Special Public Prosecutor In NIA Case

JAMMU, Aug 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed Abdul Rashid Dar, Additional Public Prosecutor, NIA Court, Srinagar, as Special Public Prosecutor in FIR No. 51/2020 registered at Police Station CIK, Srinagar.

The case involves offences under sections 13, 17, 18, 38, 39 and 40 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, along with Sections 120-B, 121 and 121-A of the IPC, and is pending before the Special Judge (TADA/POTA), Srinagar.

The appointment has been made under section 19(8) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, superseding an earlier notification issued on the subject.
