RAJOURI, June 8: Three young men sustained critical injuries after an auto-rickshaw met with a serious accident in Manjakote area tonight.
According to reports, the accident occurred at around around 10 PM when the driver of the auto-rickshaw allegedly lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a gorge, leaving all three occupants seriously injured.
The injured have been identified as
Dansh Iqbal (22), son of Mohammad Ishtaq, resident of Rajdhani, Manjakote;
Shoib Shah (26), son of Munazar Shah, resident of Mandhar; and
Noor Hussain Shah (20), son of Waheed Hussain Shah, resident of Rajdhani, Manjakote.
Soon after the incident, local residents and rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Sub-District Hospital Manjakote for initial treatment. Due to the severity of their injuries, all three were later referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri, where they were admitted for specialized medical care.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the accident. Further details are awaited.
