UDHAMPUR, June 8: Commandant Sandeep Mehta of 24 JKAP IR, presided over a Darbaar-cum-Grievance Redressal Camp at Battalion Headquarters, Sui, providing officers and officials of the battalion with a direct platform to communicate their grievances, concerns, and suggestions to the unit leadership.
During the interaction, the Commandant patiently heard the issues raised by the personnel relating to service matters, leave, welfare, and family concerns. Reaffirming his commitment to the welfare of the force, Mr Mehta directed the concerned officers and administrative staff to ensure the prompt and transparent disposal of all genuine grievances.
Addressing the gathering, Sandeep Mehta described the Darbaar as an important direct communication mechanism between the battalion headquarters and the rank and file of the Bn. He stated that although efforts are regularly made to visit companies and interact with personnel at various locations, the Darbaar provides an additional opportunity to ensure that every individual is heard and that issues are resolved without delay.
Expressing satisfaction over the morale and dedication of the personnel, the Commandant informed the gathering that officers and officials from the administrative branch had been directed to remain present during the Darbaar so that requests and grievances could be addressed on the spot wherever feasible.
Keeping in view the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Mr Mehta advised all personnel detailed for yatra duties to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and public conduct, as they would be representing not only the battalion but the entire Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The Commandant further exhorted the personnel to continue upholding the proud traditions and ethos of 24 JKAP IR through sincerity, integrity, and dedication to duty.
