JAMMU, June 8: BJP general secretary (Organization), J&K, Ashok Koul held interactions with several eminent personalities of Jammu border district, as a part of the ongoing Special Outreach Campaign being conducted by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to strengthen its connect with society and promote public participation in nation-building initiatives.
During the outreach programme, Ashok Koul met and interacted with distinguished citizens including Subash Chander, Retired Zonal Education Officer, Swarn Bal, father of Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Advitiya Bal, Dr. Girdhari Lal, Retired Chief Medical Officer, Bishambar Dev, Retired Naib Tehsildar, Balwant Singh Mandla, Principal of Azad Higher Secondary School; Professor (Retd.) Satpal and his wife Kamla Devi, Retired ZEO, and Balbir Singh, Retired Chief Education Officer.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Koul said that the BJP remains committed to maintaining continuous dialogue with every section of society. He said that the experience, wisdom and guidance of eminent citizens play a vital role in shaping public opinion and strengthening the nation’s social fabric. He emphasized that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi-led Government has transformed the governance culture by ensuring transparency, accountability and inclusive development, while giving priority to the aspirations of common citizens.
Koul said that the ongoing outreach programmes are aimed at taking the achievements and welfare initiatives of the Government to every household while also gathering valuable feedback from the people. He added that public participation is essential for realizing the vision of a developed and self-reliant India.
As part of the campaign, Ashok Koul also led a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and plantation drive organized at Shamshan Ghat, Bala Chak, and Shiv Mandir, Rathana Camp. He highlighted the importance of cleanliness and environmental conservation, stating that tree plantation and sanitation drives are social responsibilities that contribute to a healthier and greener future.
Later, Ashok Koul chaired a meeting of the BJP Jammu Border district team at the district party office to review ongoing organizational activities and discussed future programmes. He called upon party workers to actively participate in public welfare initiatives and strengthen the party’s outreach among the masses.
Jammu border district, Prabhari Rajinder Singh Chib and district president Jammu Border Rinku Choudhary were also present during the programmes and organizational meeting.
