India Trusts Its Youth To Lead Country To Greater Heights: LG Sinha

SRINAGAR, May 24: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that India trusts its youth to lead the country to greater heights.
Addressing the ‘Special National Integration Camp’ organised by National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate, Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, the LG said, “India places its hope and confidence in its youth, trusting that the young generation will lead the nation to greater heights. NCC cadets must honour that trust by living the values of the NCC and spreading across communities.”
During his interaction with NCC cadets from across the country, Sinha emphasised that this special camp is a living symbol of India’s spirit, where every cadet is not just witnessing history but actively shaping it.
Sinha said that for India, diversity is the greatest strength and for many centuries, our greatest strength lies in turning diversity into unity, weaving many cultures into one shared national spirit.
“The values of unity in diversity and the leadership qualities you have learned at this camp must be put to use in improving society. Equally important is the seed of patriotism sown here must be carried forward with full responsibility and dedication to the youth in your states and cities,” he said.
Observing that the youth of the NCC are both India’s strength today and the builders of its tomorrow, the LG said the youth are inheriting a world of rapid change, which may unsettle many nations, but India’s youth are full of confidence, equipped with skills to rise to meet these challenges with courage and capability.
Highlighting the remarkable creative energy and a strong readiness to move forward possessed by NCC cadets, Sinha said he want to get that energy be channelled with a clear purpose so that they can stand firm against any future challenge.
Guided by the NCC’s motto ‘Unity and Discipline’, youth should work to foster unity in their states and regions, resolve social problems through dialogue and respect, and build a path for Viksit Bharat, Sinha added.
The event featured captivating performances by NCC cadets, vividly showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity. The camp brings together 340 cadets and NCC officers from all over the country.
