Relief Commr inaugurates free medical camp

JAMMU, May 23: The People’s Hut Foundation (PHF), in collaboration with the Department of Relief and Rehabilitation (M) J&K, today organised a free multi-specialty medical camp at Samaj Sudhar Community Hall at Durga Nagar area here, where 162 patients were provided medical consultation and treatment facilities.
The camp was inaugurated by Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Dr Arvind Karwani along with Deputy Commissioner Relief Vijay Kumar Sharma.
Several prominent members of the Kashmiri Pandit community and social organisations were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Dr Karwani stressed the need for accessible healthcare services for underprivileged sections and urged people to make full use of such initiatives.
The camp offered specialist consultations in general medicine, orthopedics, dentistry, ophthalmology and diagnostic testing.
Free Ayush and allopathic medicines were also distributed among the patients.
Doctors and medical teams from Sedna Super Speciality Hospital, True Faith Dental Clinic, Sharp Sight Eye Hospital Jammu and Directorate of Ayush participated in the programme.
Coordinator of the camp, Muktesh Yogi, said the initiative was part of PHF’s “Mobile Health Clinic Program” aimed at improving healthcare access in underserved areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
Director and CEO of PHF, Dr Rohit Koul, said the organisation remains committed to providing healthcare and welfare support to people living in remote and economically weaker sections of society.
