SAMBA, May 23: Intensifying its drive against illegal mining, Samba Police has seized five vehicles including three dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PSs) Samba and Purmandal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO PS Purmandal, in-charge Police Post (PP), Utterbehani of PS Purmandal and in-charges of Police Posts (PP) Mansar and Supwal of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas have seized three dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK02CV-5079, JK21G-9799, JK03H-8887, a tractor trolley bearing Registration Number JK21H-7834 and Tractor Trolley without Registration Number which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department Samba for further legal action.
