JAMMU, May 23: The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), JK-UT organized a comprehensive First-Aid Awareness and Hands-on Training Programme at Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Jammu.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the officials and staff members of RBI Jammu.
Dr. Manpreet Kour, Medical Officer, Indian Red Cross Society, JK-UT, was the resource person and she provided detailed training on various First-Aid techniques including CPR, management of bleeding, fractures, burns, choking, unconsciousness, animal bite and other medical emergencies.
She emphasized the importance of immediate response during emergencies and explained how basic First-Aid knowledge can help save precious lives before professional medical assistance reaches the victim.
The event was coordinated by Vironica Marwah, Field Officer, Indian Red Cross Society, J&K.
The initiative was organized as part of the continuous efforts of the Indian Red Cross Society to build awareness and preparedness among institutions and the general public regarding health and safety measures.
RBI Director commended the dedication of the Red Cross team and stated that First-Aid awareness is extremely important in every workplace and institution as it equips individuals with essential skills to respond promptly during emergencies and accidents.
