DODA, May 23: Police here today attached the allegedly illegally acquired property worth approximately Rs. 13 lakh belonging to notorious drug peddler Yasir Ahmed Shah alias Thopa, son of Abdul Majeed Shah, resident of Sadeqabad, Doda.
The operation was carried out in the Sadeeqabad area of District Doda as part of the intensified anti-drug campaign being conducted under the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

The property was identified as illegally acquired through the proceeds generated from narcotic-related activities and was accordingly seized under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, 1985.
The accused is involved in FIR No. 86/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Doda. The action was taken during the course of investigation.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Doda, Mohd Aslam and SHO Police Station Doda, Tariq Ahmed, along with other officers and officials of Doda Police.
It is pertinent to mention that accused Yasir Shah is already in Police custody in connection with the above-mentioned NDPS case.
During investigation, credible evidence surfaced regarding his involvement in narcotics trafficking and the accumulation of assets through the proceeds of illegal drug trade.
Acting firmly against such criminal activities, Police initiated legal proceedings to attach and freeze the property linked with the accused in order to deprive him of the monetary gains earned through illicit trafficking.
