9th Inter-School Taekwondo Championship concludes

JAMMU, Nov 29: 9th Inter-School Taekwondo Champio-nship, organised by Rakwal Taekwondo Club at Sprawling Buds School Chinore, Bantalab, Jammu, under the aegis of District Jammu Taekwondo Association in association with the Department of  Youth Services and Sports, concluded here today.
Around 400 players/officials from various Schools of District Jammu and some students from Kargil participated in this Championship.
Director School Education, Jammu, RA Inquilabi was the chief guest on the closing ceremony, who distributed medals and trophies among the winners.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Inquilabi congratulated the medal winners and lavished praise on the organizers for holding the event
Prem Singh Chib was the guest of honour.
President J&K Taekwondo Association, PC Sharma and general secretary, D N Pangotra were also present as a special guests on the occasion.
Mohinder Sharma, Kudeep Singh, Jyoti Baru , Amit Dutta , Arti Sharma ( Director of Sprawling Buds School),  Pooja Sharma ( Principal) were present on the occasion as a special guests.
Rahul Sharma, chairman of the organizing committee presided over the closing ceremony, while Gurinder Rakwal was the organising secretary of the championship.
The technical team was headed by Atul Pangotra (NIS) International Referee with his team of officials including Sanjay Kumar, Mukta Gupta, Arvind Satti, Narinder Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Balvinder Bhau, Rajan and Sunil Singh.
Meanwhile, BSF School Paloura emerged winners in sub junior boys, while Sprawling Buds School clinched winners trophy in sub junior girls. The winners trophy in junior boys was bagged by RZA Taekwondo and the winners trophy in junior girls was claimed by Rich Harvest School.
The best sportsman spirit trophy was won by AITA.
The championship was sponsored by Sprawling Buds School.
