9 members of family injured as Maruti car rolls down

UDHAMPUR, Nov 12: Nine members of a family were injured when a Maruti car, they were traveling in, rolled down into a deep nallah at village Malli, near Pangara Udhampur.
The victim family from village Galiote in Panchari, was on way from Panchari to Udhampur when their Maruti car, bearing registration number JK14-3641, met with an accident at village Malli. Locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred one of them to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition.
The injured were identified as Padam Singh (38), son of Sansar Chand of Gyalot Panchari, his wife Neena Devi (32), their 10- year old son Aksham, 7- year old Sakshan and 4-year old daughter Surksha, Barffu Devi (25), wife of Avtar Singh, her 4- year old daughter Kritika, 2- year old Deepika and 10 year old Sapna Devi, daughter of Chain Singh.
Sakshan was shifted to GMC Hospital Jammu while others are undergoing treatment at District Hospital Udhampur. Their condition was stated to be stable.
The accident took place when driver of the car could not negotiate a curve between a bridge and approach road. The car fell into the nallah and was completely damaged in the mishap.
