UDHAMPUR, Jan 23: Five persons were injured in collision of six vehicles inside Chenani- Nashri tunnel while four persons were wounded when a Tavera car, they were traveling in, rolled down at Tali Bari near Kud, here today.
Reports said that six vehicles collided inside Chenani- Nashri tunnel due to the negligent driving of a truck from Srinagar to Jammu, bearing registration number JK14E- 0854. It led to collision among Tavera (JK03D-8221), Tavera (JK18-9393), Truck (JKO2AE-1473), Swift (JK019-8900) and Swift (JK03-O112).
SHO Chenani Paramjeet Singh rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to SDH Chenani. The injured were identified as Tabsum Begum (32), wife of Sajaad Mir, Insha Ashraf (20) daughter of Mohd Ashraf, Mohd Ashraf (50), son of Gulam Mohd, all of Anantnag Kashmir and Tabya Jaan (10) daughter of Farooq Ahmed, Gulam Mohd (60) son of Habibullha of Baramulla Kashmir.
Meanwhile, a Tavera car on way from Katra to Patnitop rolled down near Tali Bari. Locals and police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to SDH Chenani. The injured were identified as Rajesh Hira (35), Mahesh Kuk Raj (34), Himat Narad (26) all of Nagpur and Tavera driver Pankaj Sharma (36) of Reasi.
