9 bovine animals rescued, 2 vehicles seized

UDHAMPUR, Nov 10: Udhampur Police today rescued nine bovine animals from Tikri area and seized two vehicles, which were being used for smuggling these animals to Kashmir valley.
Based on reliable information, Police party from PP Tikri, led by SI Sanjeet Sharma, laid a surprise nakas on NHW and intercepted two Tata mobile vehicles, one bearing registration number JK02BP- 3056 and other without registration number. As soon as the vehicles were stopped for checking, both the drivers fled away from the spot leaving behind the bovine laden vehicles.
Nine bovine animals were rescued from the vehicles, which were also seized by the Police. In this connection, a case FIR No. 184/2017 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.
