8 officers posted in ACB, 5 repatriated to HD

JAMMU, Aug 31: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha-led administration in Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the posting of eight police officers in the Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) besides repatriating 5 police officers to the Home Department.

As per an order, Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad, Additional SP, SIA Kashmir, has been transferred and posted in ACB, J&K with immediate effect against an available post, while Mudasir Ahmed Tramboo, Deputy Superintendent of Police, currently posted in ACB, J&K, on his promotion, has been posted as Superintendent of Police in the ACB, J&K.

Similarly, four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) have been transferred from different wings of the police and posted in the ACB, J&K with immediate effect against the available vacant posts.

Among them are Umer Rashid, who is currently posted in CID CI Budgam; Swati Sharma, who is serving as DySP Political SB Jammu, CID; Showkat Zarger, currently posted in JKAP 5th Battalion, and Manzoor Ahmad, serving in the AC Home Guards, Kulgam.

Two Inspector-rank officers-Ashwani Kumar Angotra and Yog Raj-currently posted in ACB, J&K, upon their promotion, have also been posted as DySPs in the ACB, J&K.

Meanwhile, two SSPs, Zahoor Ahmad Wani and Ayaz Ahmad Sheikh and three DySPs, Sagar Singh, Gurmeet Singh, and Narinder Singh, have been repatriated to the Home Department from the Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K.
