7-year-old child dies after drowning in Basanter river

SAMBA, Aug 31: A seven-year-old boy died after drowning in Basanter river today. The panic gripped in the Samba town after the incident. The people immediately informed Samba district police. The SDRF team soon after getting information about the drowning of the child rushed to the spot.
As per reports this afternoon, Kabir Angural a seven year old son of Rinku Angural, resident Ward No. 11 Samba went for a bath in the Basanter river.
Some more children were bathing there. Kabir went to the deep waters while bathing and drowned in water. For a long time when he did not come out, the children became nervous and panicky. They started crying. Local people informed the police about the noise of the children. As soon as the incident was reported, the SDRF team arrived on the spot and started the rescue operation. After strenuous efforts of SDRF the body of child was recovered in the evening from river. He was brought to district hospital, where the doctors declared him as brought dead.
