7 suspended in Mulberry Deptt

RAJOURI, May 25: The District Administration, Rajouri today suspended seven employees of the Mulberry Department and initiated inquiry into the mal-functioning of provincial level training institute there and poor functioning of Deputy Director’s office.
Official sources said that Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, after receiving several public complaints regarding poor functioning of Mulberry Department and Provident Fund Office at Rajouri, a team of officials led by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mumtaz Choudhary on the directions of DC paid surprise visit to the District level office of Mulberry department and nearby provincial level training institute.
The ADC found that hardly one third trainees were present at the Mulberry institute while on register attendance of all of them had been marked. There was only one Class IV employee and no instructor. He also found that Deputy Director of the department had not attended office since May 19 and there was no intimation in the office about his any movement or meeting etc. There was massive dust in the lecture hall of the trainees which indicated that it had not been used since long.
The ADC suspended seven employees. They are- Ajaz Ahmed, Dilbagh Singh, Jaipal Singh- Instructors; Mukand Lal senior assistant, Dalip Kumar Mulberry man, Nadima Choudhary orderly and Talib Hussain Chowkidar. Nadima was absent for the last 9 days, Mukand Lal was missing for the last seven days and not even single instructor was there at the training institute. Deputy Commissioner has sought the explanation from the Deputy Director Mulberry Mr Gupta in this connection. He also directed the ADC to hold a detailed inquiry and submit a report within seven days. He also took serious note of the poor functioning of PF office at Rajouri.
