6 Kullahs damaged in fire at Vijaypur

SAMBA, June 2: Six Kullahs of the people belonging to nomadic Gujjar community were razed to ground at Rakh Barotian area of Vijaypur in district Samba today.
According to the reports, the incident took place this morning at around 7 am when the fire broke out suddenly in village Rakh Barotian area of Vijaypur in which six Kullahs were totally damaged. The Kullahs belonged to Bashir Ahmed, Baag Ali, Suhan, Suramu Din and Basheer Ahmed. When the people saw the flames coming out from the Kullahs, they immediately informed to Fire Brigade team.

After receiving the information a team of Fire Services along with fire tender and police reached on the spot and controlled the fire from spreading to other Kullahs. However, the household items, gold and cash was totally destroyed in the fire. The cause of fire was not known as yet.
Panch, Rehmat Ali said that the incident took place this morning at around 7 am when nobody was present there as all the inmates had gone to their routine works. He said the poor families were put to heavy loss as the gold, cash and house hold items were totally destroyed in the fire.
The police has taken cognizance and started investigation.
