JAMMU, Oct 16: The Cabinet today ordered transfer and adjustments of 30 police officers including six IGPs, three DIGs and 21 SSPs and SPs. It also approved transfers and postings of eight IAS and KAS officers.
The transfers and postings were ordered in a meeting of the Cabinet held in Srinagar under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Mukesh Singh, IGP, Human Rights, J&K, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Armed, Kashmir, against an available vacancy.
Sham Lal Sharma, IGP, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as IGP, CIV, PHQ, J&K, against an available vacancy.
Jagjit Kumar, IGP, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as IGP, Security, J&K, against an available vacancy.
Shafqat Ali Watali, IGP, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as IGP Armed, Jammu, against an available vacancy.
Mubarik Ahmad Ganaie, IGP, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as IGP, Telecommunications, J&K, against an available vacancy.
J.P. Singh, IGP, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as IGP, Homeguards, J&K, against an available vacancy. He shall also, till further orders, hold the additional charge of the post of ADGP, Homeguards, relieving ADGP, Armed of the additional charge of the post.
Vijay Kumar, DIG, South Kashmir Range, Anantnag, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Traffic, Kashmir, against an available vacancy

Meanwhile, the Cabinet also ordered the transfers and postings in civil administration:-
Abdul Latief Deva, Commissioner, Survey & Land Records (Ex-officio Settlement Commissioner), J&K, has been transferred and posted as Vice Chairman, Lakes & Waterways Development Authority. Irfan Yaseen shall continue to work in LAWDA as OSD till the completion of his present term.
Mohammad Yousuf Dar, Special Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Survey & Land Records (Ex-officio Settlement Commissioner), J&K, vice Abdul Latief Deva.
Vipra Bhal, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as Labour Commissioner, J&K.
