GULMARG, Feb 8: The 5th Snow Skiing Course of the season, being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, got underway at world famous and picturesque Ski Resort here today.
The first of its kind Course exclusively for the female skiers, in which 200 girls from various districts of the Union Territory are taking part, is being held under the patronage of Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K.
The participating skiers have been drawn from the districts of the Union Territory including Doda, Reasi, Rajouri, Baramulla, Pulwama and Shopian.
The participants will be imparted basic, intermediate and advanced Snow Skiing training by the Skiing Instructors namely Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, Bilal Sofi, Rafiq Ahmed Malik, Shabir Majeed and Fayaz Ahmed.
