JAMMU, June 8: A 57-year-old individual died in a road accident at Bhagwati Nagar area here, officials said today.
The deceased was identified as Om Prakash Kesar of Upper Roop Nagar, Jammu.
Officials said the accident happened around 8:45 pm on Sunday when Kesar’s bike skidded off the road near E Bus Stand Charging points, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, resulting in severe injuries to the middle-aged man.
He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, they said.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Domnana and started further investigation into the matter.
