JAMMU, July 31: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) has been selected among Regional Rural Banks of north zone to conduct five day training programme which is being conducted by College of Agriculture Banking (CAB), Reserve Bank of India, Pune.
The training started today after it was inaugurated by Romesh Vaid, General Manager, JKGB and it will conclude on August 3.
Faculty members Pankaj Setiya, DGM, RBI and E.R Muthuselvan, AGM, both from CAB, RBI Pune were also present.
In the inaugural session RomeshVaid spoke in detail on the HR Challenges and Strategies, Business Development and Profit Planning in JKGB and its role in growth, development and upliftment of Rural Agriculture Economy of the State.
Setiya, DGM RBI also spoke on the occasion and emphasised on the importance and role of such type of training programmes in assessing the skills and aptitude of the officers, undertaking the training programme and enriching the participants with the knowledge of techno economic and financial appraisals skills of projects in farm and non-farm sector and also imparting knowledge of regulatory, legal and market risk related to such financing.
Thirty branch officers from different branches of JKGB across the State are attending the training.
