JAMMU, June 8: Jump Rope Academic clinched overall trophy by securing 23 medals, whereas district Kathua remained runner-up by clinching runner-up-trophy by securing 20 medals in the 4th J&K State Jump Rope Championship, organized by Jump Rope Association of Jammu and Kashmir at Naveen Shiksha Kendra, Bari Brahmana.
Around 280 players from different districts of the State participated in the championship.
On the valedictory function, ZPEO Purmandal Bua Ditta Sharma was the chief guest, who distributed medals among the winners in presence of Dr Seema Pawan Manhas from the Association who also blessed the players with kind blessings.
In Girls category, Himangi Anand (Captain Kathua District), Silky, Manvi, Kiran, Aarti, Shivani and Priya Sharma won gold medals, whereas Priya, Seema Devi, Shivani Verma, Preety, Nikita, Diksha Mehra, Kirti Sharma, Jaiyda Akhtar, Shivali and Antriksha claimed silver medals. Samiksha, Priya Sharma, Kashish, Devayani, Tammana, Ranjana, Pallvi, Shivani, Rani, Silky, Arushi, Vishali and Manisha bagged bronze medals.
In Boys category, Hamupawan Dev, Keshav, Ibrar, Aman, Mohit, Nadeen Sayeed, Sanjeet, Uddit Khullar, Raja Babu, Nikil Chib, Rahul, Baba Ditta, Shubam Anmol and Rajat Chib claimed gold medals, whereas Anshu Sharma, Atul, Varun, Ritik, Rehman and Nishant secured silver medals. The bronze medals were claimed by Angad, Krishna, Vansh, Nitin Rai, Paras, Avinash, Varun, Radhakrishan Abhi Sharma, Deepesh, Sudhanshu, Ashwani and Ramesh Sharma.
