SRINAGAR: Four policemen were injured today in an encounter with militants in Soura area of the city, police sources said.
The gunbattle broke out in Ahmadnagar locality of Soura this evening when police cordoned off the area following information about the presence of militants there, the sources said.
They said the militants hurled a grenade towards the security forces injuring four policemen.
Exchange of fire between the two sides was going on intermittently, sources said, adding, that additional security forces have been rushed to the area. (AGENCIES)
