4 killed in Arnas mishap

REASI, June 30: Four labourers were killed, while four others received serious injuries, when the Tipper they were traveling in, plunged into gorge due to some technical fault at Budhan area, falling under the jurisdiction of Arnas police station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02W-2414, was on its way to Dharmari from Gool to collect sand, when the vehicle plunged into gorge due to some technical fault at Budhan, resulting into on the spot death of three persons and serious injuries to five others.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured persons were rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Dharmari in police and other vehicles, where doctors declared one injured person as brought dead, taking the death toll to four.
After initial treatment, the injured persons were airlifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where they were undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
The deceased have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Ghulam Rasool of Gool, Raiz Ahmed, son of Mohammad Hussain of Masloot, Chassana, Mohammad Shafi, son of Hamid of Jhandi Morh, Thakrakote Arnas and Mohammad Muzamil, son of Hussain of Hunder, Mahore.
The injured have been identified as Mohammad Hussain, son of Bhaja of Jhandi Morh, Thakrakote, Arnas, Shabir Ahmed, son of Fareed Ahmed of Pouni, Mohammad Shafi, son of Sayian of Jhandi Morh, Thakrakote, Arnas and Raqeeb, son of Abdul Hamid of Gool.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Arnas police station and investigation started.
