Many from offices test +ve in Jammu

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Nov 21: Two persons died of COVID-19 and 608 tested positive while 564 patients recovered from the virus in Jammu and Kashmir today. In the Union Territory of Ladakh, two Corona casualties and 79 fresh cases have been reported.
A 58-year-old man from Shiv Nagar in Udhampur died of multiple ailments and COVID-19 in Narayana Hospital Katra while the Corona casualty in Kashmir was reported from Bandipora district.
In the Rapid Antigen Testing in Jammu district, three cases were reported from Sheep Husbandry office, two Deputy Commissioner’s office and one each from Forest complex Dogra Hall, Press Club Jammu, Executive Director Mubarak Mandi office, Tehsildar Office Trikuta Nagar, District Industries Centre Exhibition Ground and Director Hospitality and Protocol.
Eleven positive cases were recorded at Domana, four Janipura, three Patta Bohri Chowk, two Poonch House Talab Tillo and one each from Parade Chowk and Canal Road.
Five Corona positive cases each were reported from Akhnoor, Dansal and Marh, three each at Bishnah and Kot Bhalwal and two at Pallanwalla.
Among 311 positive cases reported from Jammu region, 115 belonged to Jammu district followed by 68 Udhampur, 35 Kishtwar, 28 Doda, 23 Ramban, 14 Kathua, 13 Samba, eight Rajouri, four Reasi and three in Poonch district.
As many as 182 persons recovered from the virus in Jammu region today, the maximum being 113 in Jammu district and 31 in Kishtwar.
Jammu region now has 42113 Corona cases. Among them, 1893 are active positives while 39669 have recovered from the virus and there have been 551 casualties in the region.
The Union Territory of Ladakh today reported two Corona casualties and 79 new cases. Significantly, both Corona casualties and 79 cases were reported from Leh district as no positive case surfaced in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 7866 Corona cases. Of them, 912 are active positives and 6856 have recovered. There were 98 Corona casualties in Ladakh including 57 in Leh and 41 in Kargil.
Those who tested positive in Kashmir valley today include 124 from Srinagar, 40 Baramulla, 47 Budgam, 21 Pulwama,   16 Kupwara, 12 Anantnag,  16 Bandipora, 16 Ganderbal, 1 Kulgam and 4 from Shopian.
As per officials figures, 22,243  positive cases including 402 deaths and 20,310 recoveries are from Srinagar, 7,191 including 159 deaths and 6,464 recoveries are from Baramulla, 6,677 including 6,291 recoveries and 98 deaths are from Budgam, 4,962 including 4,716 recoveries and 86 deaths are from Pulwama, 5,027 including 80 deaths and 4,444 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,495 including 4,229 recoveries and 77 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,333 cases including 4,095 and 50 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,076 including 3,785 recoveries and 37 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,570 including 2,445 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,297 including 2,192 recoveries and 36 deaths are from Shopian.
Of the 105,984 positive cases, 63,871 are from Kashmir. Of the positive cases in Kashmir, 58,971 have recovered and 1,073 died.
The active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 5,720 including 3,827 from Kashmir division.
With 564 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 98,640, which is 93.07 percent of the total cases.
