UDHAMPUR, Aug 26: Police in Chenani today rescued four bovine animals that were being smuggled to Kashmir Valley in a Mahindra vehicle.
Reports said that acting on an information, a Police Party from PP Sudhmahadev laid a surprise naka near Sudhmahadev and intercepted one Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK14D-1064, which was on his way towards Srinagar.
During the thorough search, the vehicle was found loaded with four bovine animals that were rescued. Even as the accused driver managed to escape, Police seized the vehicle and registered a case in this connection.
