3rd UTT J&K UT Table Tennis Ranking C’ship begins

JAMMU, Aug 29: The 3rd UTT J&K UT Table Tennis Ranking Championship 2026 commenced at the Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, Jammu, coinciding with National Sports Day celebrations.

Divisional Sports Officer Bashir Ahmed inaugurated the championship and interacted with players, officials and organisers. The championship has attracted promising players from across J&K and features competitions in various age categories, with participants vying for valuable ranking points. The event will continue for three days.

In Under-11 Boys Round 1, Arthvit defeated Arshman by 3-0, Eklavya beat Yuvaan by 3-1, Krishiv defeated Rakshit by 3-1, Pranab beat Rihansh by 3-0 and Aryavansh defeated Zaeem by 3-0. In Under-11 Girls, Lakshita, Paavni, Nyrah and Shanaya registered wins over Anaya, Madhvi, Pragati and Dhritika respectively, while Saishaa defeated Mishka by 3-1.

In Under-13 Boys, Ansh, Shivay, Gourish and Kritarth recorded victories over Sanav, Arthvit, Vinayak and Shivaansh respectively. Matches were officiated by Arbaz, Gurvinder, Ankit and Meenu Rajesh.
