JAMMU, May 13: Sub Judge Katra Manoj Parihar today convicted Rinku Kumar, son of Dev Raj of Old Janipur, whose rash and negligent driving had led to a death, and awarded three years imprisonment.
On February 22, 2011 Rinku Kumar, while driving an Alto car bearing No.0693-JK02AS in rash and negligent manner hit one Auto bearing No.5721/JK14 near Kadmal. In the accident, Sunita Devi, Vicky Kumar and Devi, who were travelling in the auto, sustained severe injuries. Sunita Devi, later, succumbed to injuries.
After completion of investigation into the case, charge sheet was presented in the Court of Sub Judge Katra Manoj Parihar, who after hearing the counsel for accused Pawan Khajuria and Senior Prosecuting officer R P Singh along with Prosecuting Officer Kishore Sharma, found the accused guilty and accordingly convicted him. He was awarded three years imprisonment.
