MENDHAR, Feb 10: The police has arrested three youth for murderous attack on another youth in Gursai area of tehsil Mendhar today.
The victim has been identified as Nadeem Hussain, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Ari in Mendhar. The police said four youth were coming on two bikes from BG side to Mendhar. They stopped their bikes on the way and allegedly had drink on the road side. Over some issue, they had clash. Nadeem was severely beaten up and nearly left half dead on the road. Some passengers travelling in a Tata Sumo on that route, noticed the activity of the youth and overpowered them. Nadeem was lying unconscious and bleeding. They rescued the victim and detained boys for some time.
The people rang up police station Gursai and the police party reached there shortly from nearby police post. Three boys were arrested and injured Nadeem was shifted to SDH Mendhar. The bikes were also seized.
Those arrested were identified as Gh Abbas and Zaheer Abbas, sons of Nazir Hussain, residents of Ajot in Poonch and Kafeel Ahmed, son of Mohd Aslam from Bela in Tehsil Mandi. The police has registered a case against them for murderous assault.
