JAMMU, Jan 5: A three-day PMKVY RPL Yoga Instructor programme conducted by Sri Sri Rural Development Trust (SSRDP) began today at NITS Polytechnic, Miran Sahib, Jammu.
The programme was inaugurated by Naresh Sharma, SDM RS Pura, along with Savinder Gupta, Coordinator, SSRDP J&K, Art of Living (AoL) State Teachers’ Coordinator, Dr Traun Garg and senior AoL Yoga Teacher, Mahavir Gupta, by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
In his welcome address, Savinder Gupta, said RPL yoga platform provides an opportunity to receive certification from NSDC, Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneur-ship (MSDE). SSRDP under the aegis of Art of Living is an authorized training partner of PMKVY, he added.
“The MSDE is conducting recognition of prior learning certification on the job of Yoga Instructor for 3 days (Yoga Orientation with assessment) on 5th, 6th and 7th January. This is happening for the first time in J&K. AoL teachers and those teaching yoga for more than 1 year are eligible for this course”, Gupta said.
He further infor-med that this certification shall certify the participants as yoga instructor under PMKVY which will be a nationally and internationally recognized certification. He also informed that SSRDP is also conducting short term training programs for fresh youth in Domestic Data Entry Operator and Assistant Electrician Job role under PMKVY in Jammu.
SDM RS Pura, while addressing about 100 participants, exhorted them to take this wonderful opportunity to get certified by NSDC, MSDE. He also wished Dr Traun Garg all success for the orientation and certification. He further emphasized that these 100 new yoga certified instructors will spread a wave of well being through yoga and assured the organizers for his full support in all such endeavours.
