29 cattle rescued

JAMMU, Aug 20: Nagrota and Jhajjar Kotli police foiled bovines’ smugglings bids by rescuing 29 cattle.
As per police sources, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration Number JK14F-5575.
During checking, police team rescued 20 bovine animals from the vehicle and seized it.
A case under FIR Number 328/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station rescued 9 bovine animals from a Mahindra Tata mobile bearing registration number JK14F-3081.
A case under FIR Number 147/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation initiated.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket and SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Rajesh Khajuria foiled the bids under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma.
