Kathua, July,27. Continuing endeavour to implement the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, a marathon drive was launched by RTO Kathua Dr. Raj K. Thapa whereunder fine to the tune of Rs. 6.87 lakhs was imposed during last 24 hours by the Enforcement team.
During the drive, a total of 262 vehicles were checked out of which 166 were found violating one or more provisions of Motor Vehicles Act. A total of 144 vehicles were imposed fine.
The other team members in the drive were ARTO Kuldeep Singh, Motor Vehicle Inspectors Vikas Srivats, Kamal Kumar, Ravinder Kumar and others including Rasal Singh, Shamsher Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Aman Kumar and Lekh Raj Singh.
